Today, masks are part of our everyday life when people meet in enclosed spaces. Mouth or nose masks are compulsory or recommended. Our airtubeUVC air purifiers act and work like a mask – the air present in the room is sucked in and irradiated with short-wave UVC light in the inner, shielded area of the airtubeUVC. The radiation energy inside is dimensioned in such a way that the DNA of viruses and bacteria is significantly inactivated in a very short time. The airtubeUVC is available in different sizes. These are defined by the desired air throughput / cleaning cycle per time unit – usually always per hour.
The areas of application are wherever people come together, the recommended minimum distance cannot be maintained and a mask is more of a hindrance, e.g. in restaurants, hotel lobbies, conference rooms, hospitality lounges, schools / classrooms, doctors’ surgeries, law firms, beauty salons, hairdressing salons and many more. The airtubeUVC air purifiers were measured for their air velocities and their intake radius in a laboratory. The pictures illustrate how the units work. The airtubeUVC air purifiers suck in air at the top and blow out the purified air at the bottom. With the help of these tests, insights could be gained into how many units are needed in a room and where or how they should be positioned. Room size – air flow rate – cleaning cycles explained very simply using the example of a classroom.
Based on a classroom with a floor area of 7x9m and a room height of 2.5m, the air volume is 157.5m3.
When using six airtubeUVC80 in a classroom, we achieve an air flow rate of 6 x 80m3 = 480m3/h.
This means that the air in the classroom is circulated and disinfected three times in 60 minutes.
